There is no best pop up gazebo. What is great for one is not right for another.
As with anything you decide to purchase, there will be a swathe of products to choose from, so it is a good idea to research your item first so that you are not buying blindly.
With pop up gazebos, your choice is thankfully limited however it is still a good idea to work out what you want your gazebo for and how you will use it.
This will naturally inform your choice of which one to purchase.

So the most obvious first question is: How much do you want to spend?
Sure you can get incredibly cheap ones and if your event is just a one-off, then there is nothing wrong with going down this route.
But if you would like to get good use out of your pop up party gazebo, then it would be worth your while spending that little bit extra to get a better quality one that will last you past the first usage.
Remember, you get what you pay for; if you buy cheap you get cheap.
What are you going to use your pop up gazebo for?
A picnic? A shade for your children in the paddling pool?
A wedding reception in your garden perhaps? Will you be sitting people at a table under there or putting all the drinks under there and using it as a party gazebo?
How many people need to be under there at any one time?
In other words, how big does it need to be? Which month of the year are you going to get the most use out of it?
Obviously if it is for winter use, you may need something much more heavy duty to be able to deal with adverse weather conditions if need be.
What do you want your gazebo to be made from?
The frames are either made from plastic (avoid these if you want your gazebo to last more than 2 minutes), aluminium or steel.
Steel gazebos are the most durable but can make the unit slightly heavier whereas aluminium makes the structure lighter to carry around.
If you do not need to lug it everywhere, I would most definitely go with a steel structure.
You find a lot of people who camp take an aluminium gazebo with them as they are light-weight to carry.
The covers on pop up gazebos are generally made from a polyester material.
Look out for one with a good, heavy duty, waterproof polyester fabric.
It is important that the cover is waterproof unless you do not mind rain dripping through.
Unfortunately one does not get a great deal of choice with the cover designs and you are likely to find plain green ones that seem to merge in with the garden setting, a bit better than the stripy ones that are out there on the market.
Again, this is down to your taste and needs.
Some pop up gazebos come with sides that can be attached to the frame by Velcro, but most come without them.
It is possible to buy the side panels at a later date should you need them.
Do you have someone to help you set up the gazebo?
Not everybody is physically capable of putting up big structures so make sure the advert on the gazebo states that it is easy to put up and take down; the legs should be telescopic for ease and speed.
I would suggest you also go by recommendation too.
Ask around your friends and family and see if they have any you could look at or ask about.
Whichever you choose, pop up gazebos will really will transform your garden or party or event into something very special and memorable.
I came across a fantastic pop up gazebo a few days ago, I guess you could call it an all-singing all-dancing one.
It had a heavy duty, totally waterproof, heat sealed cover, a powder coated steel frame and an extremely hefty price tag to match.
